Hey friends!

A couple weeks ago, I had the complete honor of photographing Lydia + Gene’s wedding at Luce Loft in San Diego! This place has been on my photography bucket list and I couldn’t have picked better first couple to get to photograph there!

These two are so sweet, grounded and kind. They made it so apparent that they value their faith and their family so much, which I absolutely loved. These images do a really great job at explaining themselves *pats self on back*, so I’ll shut up and let these photos tell the story!

Before their first look, Lydia and Gene deiced to read their vows from each other privately. I love this.

First looks are my favorite. Yes, it means you get more photos, but at the end of the day, it’s one the only moments of the wedding that you get to spend alone with your soon to be husband or wife. You can just see how much these two loosened up after seeing one another. It’s really a great stress reliever!

It’s not often that I get to shoot in an urban setting. It definitely comes with it’s challenges, but it’s soooo worth it.

Love how Luce Loft looks during reception time. So beautiful!

Lydia + Gene! THANK YOU for letting us photograph your wedding day!

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT Justin

I've always been drawn to all things creative, but didn't pick up a camera until my senior year in high school to document a trip my friends and I were taking to San Francisco.  I had no idea how to correctly work my camera, but instantly fell in love with the concept of capturing moments in an artistic way.  I became obsessed with photographing anything and anyone willing to get in front of my lens.  Still lifes, landscapes, pets, people.  People.  What started out as a passion for photography quickly turned into a passion for people and the love they share.  I can't put words to the feeling of capturing fleeting moments, celebratory tears, warm embraces,  or loving glances.  What I can say is how incredibly fulfilling photographing weddings all over the west coast for the past twelve  years has been.  I'm thrilled to have you here and can't wait to work with you!
