Hello friends!
Ah yes. Fall has finally arrived. While I love summer and the memories that were made, I do not miss the heat! With that said, wedding season was in full force this Summer and continues to be as we enter into Fall! One of my favorite shoots has to be Joanna and Kevin’s Malibu engagement session. The locations, the light and the laughter made this one for the books.
The Love Story //
“We met on Bumble actually. I swiped because of his adorable French Bulldog and the fact we had mutual friends on FB. By that time, I had low expectations about meeting anyone from online, but I was pleasantly surprised. We met in person at a Gastropub near by apt in Hollywood. We took a couple month hiatus after the 3rd date. I think I wasn’t ready and just focused on all the things that could go wrong. But I know he was special instantly and texted him for some ice cream two days after my birthday. After that, it was game over.”
The Proposal //
“While i was napping, Kev dropped roses and passages from 1 Cor 13 up the lawn at the Airbnb in Malibu he had taken me on a surprise trip. He was at the top of the hill where a waterfall was, and asked me to marry him. I said, “Of course!””
“The first time I saw Joanna across the room I immediately liked her. Having the privilege to get to know and date her has grown me to love her. I was so nervous getting ready to propose. When she said “Of course!” and embraced me, it was one of the best moments of my life. I’m so grateful for her and am incredibly excited to share this journey with her.”
