Fairmount Park Engagement Photos • Maria & Matthew

Hello Friends!

Back with another sweet engagement session.  Meet Maria and Matt.
These two make such a beautiful and fun loving couple!  We were seriously laughing the whole time.  Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA holds a special place in Maria and Matt’s life.  Not only is it beautiful, it’s also the place where Matt got on one knee and proposed to his future wife.

I absolutely love the way Maria tells their love story.

We met briefly through mutual friends, while I was still in high school. The following summer, we took a road trip with those same friends to Colorado. It was on that trip, that we developed a strong friendship with one another. After months following filled with tennis matches, 7-eleven Slurpees, and piano duets, Matthew told me that he saw a future beyond friendship with me and asked me if I would like to pursue a relationship with him. Being that I was head-over-heels, I happily said yes. Last summer, Matthew asked me another life-changing question. Matthew took me to an art show in Riverside. We explored the area, sipping Starbucks and chatting. We had planned to get dinner, but he insisted that we “casually check out” this nearby park that he had actually google mapped and visited previously to scope out the perfect proposal spot. We ended up spending 2 hours walking around this small lake because there was a wedding party snapping photos and fisherman taking over the dock that he wanted to do it on. By this point, the sun was starting to set and I was getting hungry. I kept mentioning dinner, but he insisted we keep walking. Finally, the dock became free. Matthew walked me onto the deck, held both my hands in his, and began to tell me how much he loves me and how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. At this point I understood and the tears started flowing. I’ve never felt more excited, happy, and in love in one moment than I did at that time. I am so blessed to be able to look forward to a lifetime with such a wonderful person.

I am so thrilled with how these photos turned out.  Enjoy!
